2 qt Stemmed gooseberries

2 qt Hulled strawberries

4 qt Sugar

Wash fruits carefully. Drain. Add sugar. Heat slowly to boiling. Simmer slowly, stirring frequently, until thick. Mrs. Emma Garibaldi, Mendocino, CA.
